Cedar for Catholics

I don't understand why it isn't more commonplace for Catholics to celebrate the Passover. Yes it is a Jewish ceremony, but Jesus was Jewish, and his Last Supper was a celebration of the Passover with his friends.

I teach a religious education class to third graders, and every year before Easter we of course talk about the passion, death, and resurrection of Christ, that is paramount. But we also watch the movie "The Prince of Egypt" and the kids participate in their own Cedar meal.

The Catholic religion has its roots in Judaism, and I think it is important that the kids know that; not to mention the fact that the story of Moses is in truth an integral part of Catholicism as well.

And it always helps that the kids enjoy it too. :)
